Work Experience1.Currently working in the area of Strain improvement under the broad objective of genetic manipulation of anaerobic organisms. Actively involved from the initial process of primer designing to transforming the recombinant plasmid into the host strain. Well Equipped knowledge in planning and implementation of the cloning strategies and over expression of the gene in the Host Strain. I have been working in cloning and expression of clostridia genes. 2.Bioinformatic tools for Primer designing, for gene and protein analysis, PCR, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, PAGE.
3. Fermentation:
v Well equipped knowledge in the area of heterotrophic, Photohetrotrophic and homoethanolic fermentation (100ml-1 lit scale) standardized all physiological parameters for fermentation of anaerobic and facultative strains. v Isolation of various fermentative organisms from different ecological habitats and screened more than 105 strains of bacteria for energy production. |
