Work ExperienceMay 2002 to Feb 2006 Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah Cantt Nature of Job: Government I worked in POF Wah factories for almost four years in two different areas. For first year I worked as a maintenance engineer of a large manufacturing setup and the other three years I worked as a design and development engineer. As Maintenance Engineer POF Gadwal is a huge complex of manufacturing facility having more than 1100 conventional machines like lath, milling and grinding etc and not less than 80 latest CNC machines. I have the credit of efficient maintenance of all the conventional and CNC machines to make them in running mode for all 24 hours time. The objective was achieved through vigilantly following approach of daily and monthly maintenance schedule of machines. 2. Different automotive systems like Efi, Vti Mpfi, Hybrid and turbo chargers were critically studied and analyzed based on their fuel efficiency, effect on engine life, cost, maintainance expenditures and future prospects in the market. This study was required by the management for the right selection of future purchase of vehicles required to be added in the transport fleet of factory.
As Design and Development Engineer As Design and development engineer fulfilled the responsibility of complete designing and development till end of all the production tools, jigs and fixtures. Following development projects were completed. 1. Designing and development from scratch of more than 150 tools like punching, embossing, piercing and sheering tools for the development of special type of steel packing boxes. The project was successfully completed in a very short span of just four months. 2. Designing and development of a completely automatic system for melting of Aluminium swarf in a specially designed furnaces to make almost 95% pure aluminium ingots used by the other industries to make aluminium alloy products. The project included the designing of an automatic press control to form aluminium swarf into square shape billets for easy handling through conveyer belt for melting in the furnaces. Pouring of molten aluminium into moulds, its cooling and withdrawing of aluminium ingots from the moulds was all automatically controlled. 3. Complete designing and development of an automatic sheet rolling machine specially designed to roll a sheet of five feet length into a tube of 6” dia.which was pre embossed at six locations longitudinally along its surface 4. Designing and development of a truss structure used for hanging some heavy components required to be placed in open air for drying purpose after a specific chemical treatment. The task was accomplished through analysis of static and dynamic loading in ANSYS software to evaluate the capability of the structure to withstand different static and dynamic loading due to wind. 5. Development of a software using visual basic language to evaluate the performance of different process layout incorporating different constraints of machine layout, time, shortage of manpower etc and finding the best possible process layout to get maximum production output. 6. Process layouts of many intricate products were not properly maintained, therefore new process layouts were formed to suit the physical layout of the machines which marginally increased the production number and reduced the labour fatigue.
